Carolina is a Chilean attorney at law with practice in administrative and corporate law in her country, including regulatory work in addition to litigation on a variety of issues related to regulated industries and natural resources (water rights). After specialising in water law and policy in the UK, she joined the International Water Association in 2013 where she currently works as an officer for the Basins of the Future Programme. Among her tasks is that of coordinating the preparation of the International Water Regulators Forum and its outputs, the most important one being the Lisbon Charter, an international framework of guiding principles for sound public policies and regulation of drinking water supply, sanitation and wastewater management services.
