Prior to joining IWA in October 2014, Eva has worked and studied in Spain, Sweden, Germany and The Netherlands. With an academic background in Agricultural Engineering, Biology and international water management, during the last 8 years she has worked in different roles in the water and agricultural sectors. Her main interest is the efficient use of water in agriculture with particular interest in the wastewater reuse for irrigation in urban and peri-urban areas. As Conference Programme Officer at IWA in The Hague, she supports the technical programmes of the IWA Congresses and Specialist Groups events.
In 2007 Eva started her career path in the water sector, working as a junior engineer for a water engineering company in Spain. Following that, she worked as a consultant for EU CAP project and as a researcher for different European Universities. Before starting work at IWA she worked as a researcher for a Water Fund for Development Finance. Eva holds a Master Degree in Agricultural Engineering (Technical University of Madrid), Master Degree in Biology (Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences), and Master Degree in International Land and Water Management (Wageningen University).
