Description

The 23rd IWA International Conference on Diffuse Pollution & Eutrophication (IWA DIPCON 2026) will focus on advancing knowledge and solutions for managing diffuse pollution and its impacts on aquatic ecosystems. Key themes include:

  • Diffuse emissions of emerging contaminants – approaches for monitoring, modelling, and management.

  • Eutrophication – innovative strategies for its monitoring, modelling, and control.

  • Transnational river basin management and nature-based solutions – fostering cross-border cooperation and sustainable practices.

  • Diffuse contaminant emissions from urban areas – effective control and management measures.

  • Pollution–biodiversity–climate change nexus – exploring their interconnections and pioneering approaches to address combined challenges.

IWA DIPCON 2026 will serve as a platform for scientists, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange knowledge and develop integrated strategies for healthier and more resilient water environments.
