The Role of Technology to reach Sustainable Development Goal 6.1 – How can technology play a role to achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all

TU Delft Global Drinking Water Program would like to announce the ‘Role of Technology’ pre-event to the IWA WDCE 2019, with the aim to consider the role of technology in reaching Sustainable Development Goal 6.1. The event will be held from 25 – 26 of November 2019, at the TU Delft, the Netherlands.
With this pre-event input will be generated on the role of technology for the focus areas of IWA WDCE 2019. Since water is one of the most critical issues facing the world today, we should deploy all technological advances we have made in the right way, in the right context, for real people, in order to find local solutions. That is what the Global Drinking Water Program aims for.
The pre-event will furthermore link to the overarching TU Delft Global Event on 26 of November, with the goal to search for specific technological interventions in Africa where the Global Drinking Water Program can help to achieve SDG6.1.
