Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs) have become a key technology in the treatment of water, wastewater, groundwater, and potable water. Their ability to meet increasingly strict regulatory requirements and protect public health and the environment has led to their rapid development and application worldwide.
The IWA Specialist Group AOP organised a conference on Advanced Oxidation Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment in April 2025. It provided a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among scientists, engineers, practitioners, and decision-makers.
This webinar will begin with a brief introduction to the AOP Specialist Group, followed by a review of the recent conference, and will feature a plenary lecture on emerging Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). The plenary lecture will place a particular emphasis on real-world applications of AOPs, with the discussion also extending to Advanced Reduction Processes (ARPs), highlighting the potential synergies between these treatment approaches.
Scientists, engineers, practitioners, equipment manufacturers, utilities, and decision-makers.
Anyone who is interested in the science and applications of advanced oxidation and reduction processes.
Following this session, participants will be able to:
