Description

Climate change is affecting us all through water, intensifying risks such as droughts, floods, water scarcity, and declining water quality. Addressing these challenges requires collective action and practical frameworks that help organisations manage water responsibly and contribute to resilient catchments and communities.

Join the International Water Association (IWA) and the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) for an insightful webinar introducing the newly launched AWS Standard Version 3.0 – the global benchmark for credible water stewardship.

Certification to the AWS Standard demonstrates a site’s water stewardship performance, enabling credible claims while delivering meaningful environmental, social, and economic benefits beyond the fenceline. Updated every five years through a rigorous, transparent, and inclusive global consultation process, Version 3.0 responds to emerging challenges and strengthens the proven framework by increasing its practicality, utility, and value.

This session will provide participants with an introduction to AWS, an overview of the revised Standard, and insights into how water stewardship can support utilities, cities, industries, and other organisations in improving water management at both system and watershed levels.
