Description

The IWA Young Water Professionals (YWP) Steering Committee, in collaboration with the IWA Secretariat, warmly invites members of the global IWA YWP community to the first session of the new YWP Get-Together series focused on career skills development. This dynamic series of online events is designed to strengthen connections, build capacity, and inspire action across the YWP network.

While many young professionals in the water sector bring strong technical expertise, they often face challenges in developing key professional skills such as abstract writing, presentation delivery, and networking. These skills are essential for gaining visibility at conferences, contributing to publications, and advancing collaborative projects. To address this need, the YWP Steering Committee’s Career Building Sub-Committee is launching a dedicated series that provides practical guidance, proven strategies, and real-world insights tailored to YWPs.

The third session will focus on networking: Strategies for initiating conversations, following up, and leveraging platforms like LinkedIn and IWA events.

The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, designed to foster meaningful cross-sector dialogue and generate actionable outcomes.

Please note: the event will be hosted in English, and no certificate will be provided. The event is exclusive for Young Water Professional.
