OnlineAddressing today’s complex water challenges requires a diverse workforce, yet women in the water sector continue to face barriers that limit their full contribution. As part of the Women in Water Project, driven by IWA’s Specialist Group on Sustainability in the Water Sector, the book “Women in Water: How to Support Everyone’s Contribution” explores some of these challenges and lessons learned around opportunities, advancement, disrespectful behaviour, self-confidence, age, work-life balance, and mentoring.
The next phase of the Women in Water Project aims to deliver a series of workshops that will present the book’s findings and gather insights on how women, men and organisations can help overcome the key challenges faced by women in the industry. IAWD is supporting the Specialist Group to undertake this webinar in the Danube region.
Open to water professionals of all genders, this online workshop is a valuable opportunity to learn about and provide input into the Women in Water Project, contributing to a more equitable water industry in the long-term.
Water Professionals, Managers, Directors, Senior managers, Young Water Professionals: students, early career professionals.
