The IWA YWP Steering Committee is a representative body of young members (35 and below) that provides advice to IWA to help it stay relevant and current, and engages our young members in connections, professional development, and learning activities that empower young professionals.
The IWA YWP Community renews its Steering Committee every two years. Voting is now taking place to select the Steering Committee for 2026-2028. The elections are led by the IWA Secretariat alongside an elections committee composed of current members of the IWA YWP Steering Committee who are not candidates for the current election (Chelsea Hayward, Anique Azam, Claudia Prehn, Hayat Haza and Ashton Busani).
IWA members with an active membership aged 35 or below are requested to review each candidate's profile on Connect Plus carefully (motivation, commitment, and engagement in IWA) and choose their:
Select the candidates you feel you are confident will voice your needs, your wants, and your wishes for your profession and your participation in the IWA network and who will be a great representative to empower all young water professionals within the water sector and IWA. Consider gender balance and geographical distribution, as well as their engagement with the Association.
